Merchant feed for downloadable products

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Guys, I can't figure out how to setup merchant feed for products that are downloadable (audio files).

The columns that are problematic for me are Tax (these products are not taxable), Shipping (there is no shipping because products are downloadable), and shipping weight (there is no shipping weight).

Thanks for your help!

if all items submitted have zero tax, shipping, and shipping_weight
simply do not submit any of these attributes, at all, in the feed --

for example, delete all such columns for a tab-delimited feed --
then, set a value of zero for tax and shipping as the default within
the merchant-center-account settings.

if there is a mix of digital and non-digital goods submitted

and the account-level settings defaults cannot be zero then,

simply submit the attributes in the feed with a value of zero --
the details depend on the supported feed being submitted;
for example, for a tab-delimited feed:
US::0.00:
US::digital download:0.00 USD
0.0 oz

if account-level settings are used, a value must be

configured and selected -- even if the value is zero.

a tax or shipping value submitted in the feed for an item will
override the corresponding account-level setting for that item.

to use an account-level (tax or shipping) setting, the value in the

feed must be left empty (entirely blank) -- or the attribute deleted.

typically, the defaults configured for the account-level

settings are based on the majority of items in the feed.

shipping_weight is not a required attribute -- unless a
weight-based shipping method is set within the account.

if there is a complex mix of items in the feed,

then a shipping_label attribute might be used.

as an aside, never mention tax or shipping information anyplace

within a feed -- other than within a valid tax or shipping attribute --

that is a policy violation and grounds for disapproval or suspension.
