Merchant Product Disapproved for URL not working but it is working

My site was down this morning, but now it is back up.  A few of my Merchant products are disapproved because of this reason "The URL specified in your data feed wasn't working correctly when we reviewed this item".  They have paid clicks so I know they were working when I first added them a couple days ago.  

 

Now they keep getting the bad URL message when I resend the disapproved products in. My other products are structured exactly the same don't receive this disapproval.  Was it because my site was down?  All of the product URLs work.  Does google not recheck the url for 24 hours or something?

Hi Matthew,

Yes this is the exact reason your feed disapproved. Your website may be down or URL changed accidentally when Google crawled your web pages. This has happened many times with me. I find out exact products which are disapprove and resolve the issues. Then re-submit my feed.

Google takes 1-2 hours to update feeds.

You should check your merchant account on regular basis.

generally, google re-crawls all items on the site approximately 72-hours
after the data (feed) has been re-submitted and successfully processed --
depending on inventory size, website bandwidth, and related factors.

however, once items are listed as product-listing-ads, the website
and links must be up, running, and properly functioning, at all times --
or is otherwise a policy violation and grounds for a disapproval or
a (permanent) suspension from the program, at any time.

google may re-check for policy issues at any time.

if the issue has been fully resolved and a fix is in place so that
the issue will not reoccur, simply resubmit the feed and contact
google for a review -- either directly using the link under the
details-section of the products-tab (if the link exists), after
clicking on an item's title, or by contacting a support-specialist.

otherwise, any associated items must be removed and
the data (feed) re-submitted; typically, 72-hours before
a landing-page or site will be down -- or immediately --
and until the issue has been fully resolved.

frequent or lengthly down-time may sometimes
trigger a permanent disapproval or suspension --
in which case, the items must be removed.

I have a similar problem - got 17 items in the shop and last night when I updated the feed 90% of the products have been disallowed because they have the wrong URL!

How can I update the URL manually?

Hi Dean,

You need to fix the URLs in the feed and re-upload it which should trigger a re-crawl. Depending on the size of the feed and the traffic the items received previously, will directly affect how quickly the items are re-approved, with higher traffic items usually being prioritised first (once a fix is in place)

Got that sorted now none of these products are visible on Google shopping! Smiley Sad

Spoken to Googe numerous times and they say everything looks great but there are no impressions or clicks so something must be wrong.

Thinking of closing down the account and opening up a new one and starting fresh.

Ay ideas yourself?

I would not create a new account for the same site. As you are only aloud one account per website / business

An account has nothing to do with impressions. First make sure your data feed has no errors within Google Merchant.
Make sure that the titles are relevant to the product and target search terms you want to target
Check that Google merchant is linked to Google adwords
View your Adwords account budget, ensuring there is sufficiant daily budget.
Check your campaign if it has high enough CPC to get impressions.

If I would list a product with just 0.01 bidding than your impressions will be pretty much non existing. Compared to 0.50

Google Shopping can be complicated and advice you to first eliminate the basics.
