Logo: The submitted image must be a logo that matches the permanent branding of your business

I've tried uploading our company's logo both as SVG and PNG but keep getting the error that "The submitted image must be a logo that matches the permanent branding of your business." I'm using the exact same logo that we use for print and web advertising so I'm not sure where to go from here. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Marc

(1) currently, a business-logo is only required for either
local-inventory-ads or (beta) shopping-showcase-ads --
if neither of these programs are being utilized, then
there is no need to upload any logo whatsoever.

(2) google has rather strict rules and requirements for a business-logo;
all rules, requirements, and policies related to quality and the physical
image file must be followed, exactly, as defined by google.

for example --
(a) the logo image must be in the exact ratio of either 2:1 or 1:1.
(b) the logo file uploaded must be less than 5mb;
(c) the logo file must be less than 2000 pixels on any side;
(d) an svg file is highly recommended, especially if any text is involved;
(e) if an svg cannot be uploaded, then a png file is required;
(f) the png file must be at least 500x500 pixels for a 1:1 logo;
(g) the png file must be at least 1000x500 pixels for a 2:1 logo;
(h) the logo cannot contains any watermarks;
(i) the logo cannot currently belong to any other retailer;
(j) the logo must match the current branding on the registered site domain;
(k) the logo must match branding that is currently on other google programs
that are currently being utilized or are linked, such as google-my-business;
(l) the logo cannot contain text that is illegible when the image is resized;
(m) if the logo does not have a colored background,
then the logo must have a fully transparent background.

the logo must also comply with all other shopping-ad related policies --

for example, any policies that are related to trademarks and copyrights.

(3) this is mainly a peer-to-peer forum -- forum-members cannot look into any
accounts or submitted logos; posting the exact, specific, logo image file being
uploaded to google, or a public url link to the specific image file being uploaded,
and the claimed site url, here within the public forum, may allow others to offer

more specific suggestions.

otherwise, simply make any corrections and re-upload the logo's image file.

otherwise, google may be contacted directly --

Hello, my logo is basically just text. I tried to upload the png image with a transparent background, but the logo was disapproved. Should I change my store logo for google's approval?

I wanted to keep it simple and basically just created a minimal text logo.

What should I do now?

Thanks

Selen

possible next-steps include:

(1) remove the logo -- a logo is not required, at all,
except for local-inventory-ads or beta showcase-ads;

(2) be certain the logo meets all requirements and policies --
not just the file type and transparency requirements;

(3) post a public url link to the specific file being uploaded as the
logo so that other forum-members may offer specific suggestions;

(4) contact google directly;

google may be contacted directly by using the gear-icon in the ad-account,
or by logging into google and then navigating to the following contact-link:
https://support.google.com/merchants/contactflow
weekdays during normal business-hours is usually best.

when contacting google directly be certain to indicate that the logo
is being used for either local-inventory-ads or showcase-ads or both --
otherwise, a logo is currently not required and not used by google,
in any way whatsoever.

google is the final arbiter of all policies, including logo policies.
