Local inventory ads - instore only, online only, & multichannel
This Google video defines three types of inventory for Local Inventory Ads:
- Instore only
- Online only
Google Shopping Policies (not the Local Inventory Ads version) requires items to be shippable.
We're interested in advertising with Google Local Inventory Ads because we have a large number of items that are available BOTH online and instore, but CANNOT BE SHIPPED because of manufacturer restrictions. They can be bought online but the only fulfillment option is instore pickup.
For the purposes of Google Local Inventory Ads, are these non-shippable items considered instore only or multichannel?

multichannel indicates the item can be shipped using
direct-to-consumer shipping methods and meets all
other product-listing-ad rules and policies for the
submitted data, landing-page, and physical item --
and have been submitted as a product-listing-ad
using a proper products-feed in the merchant-center --
in addition to meeting all local-inventory-ad policies
and sold in the physical store.
