Is it necessary to resubmit feed after adding negative keywords to a shopping Ad Group ?

I just saw a Celebird post where it said feeds needed to be re-submitted after deleting a negative key word from a shopping campaign.  I have never seen that requirement appear in any of the help files on implementing negative keywords.   I put negative key words in 6 Ad Groups this morning and none of them are in effect yet.

Thank You.

Hi Steve

Their shouldn't be a need to refresh the feed if a negative have been removed from the ad words account.

You must have miss read his post as that is not correct. Celebird is very accurate with his posts, so I would never expect him to say anything in accurate, only out dated info. As Google keeps improving and adding features. However your suggestions does not sound like something he would say.

You can add negative keywords and your feed will work as normal before and after.

Hope it helps.

This is Celebird post I was referring to.  Maybe there is something different in the situation they were discussing

first, thank you for being referenced and for the kind words.

the referenced-post looks to be from over two years ago.

posted below is some updated clarification and the likely context of that post.

there is no such requirement per se -- generally, there should be no need to
refresh the submitted (feed) data if a shopping-campaign's negative-word-list
has been updated within the ad-account and the submitted data (feed) will
function normally, before and after, a shopping-campaign's negative-word-list
has been updated.

resubmitting the submitted data (feed) within the merchant-center-account,
after adding, deleting, or changing negative-words is simply a best-practice --
since shopping-campaigns do not use keywords, the submitted product (feed)
data, that becomes shopping-ads, and the ads onto which the negative-words
are applied, may have changed.

the practice is especially pertinent if titles or descriptions were changed,
items were added or deleted, or physical in stock availability changed, from
what (product-data) currently exists inside the shopping-campaign, at the
time a related negative-words-list is updated.

also, at the time of the post, negative-word-lists were not always recognized
immediately; if so, resubmitting the products (feed) data sometimes triggered
google to reread and begin reapplying the updated negative-words-list on the
existing shopping-ad data a bit quicker; this was especially true depending on

if the negative-word-list update was at the ad-group-level vs. campaign-level.

if, after a negative-word list is updated, and there is absolute certainty that
nothing relevant has changed from the last resubmit of product (feed) data,
then, currently, there should be no need to resubmit the product-data (feed).

otherwise, if there seems to be a delay in a negative-word-list going into
effect, google should likely be contacted, so a person can look directly

into the account and submitted-data details.
