Hello guys,

I have items fall under books category and I don't have unique identifier (UPC, ISBN). can they be approved in Google shopping by setting Is_identifier_exists to false as there is no brand and MPN.

Thanks

if the manufacturer/publisher has assigned valid global-trade-data
(gtin, brand, mpn) to the exact product being submitted and sold by
multiple merchants, then valid global-trade-data must be submitted
for that item-offer -- or the item cannot be submitted, at all, until
the proper, valid, global-trade-data has been located; typically by
inspecting the gs1 bar-code, that was stamped on the product/book,
at the factory/printers.

otherwise, yes, if valid global-trade-data does not currently exist,
simply submit the identifier_exists attribute with a value of no --
and do not submit gtin, do not submit brand, and do not submit

mpn, for that item.

generally, google does not want invalid global-trade-data,

or global-trade-data that does not currently exist, for the

physical inventory item being submitted for shopping-ads --

conversely, if valid global-trade-data (gtin, brand, mpn)

currently exists for the item-offer, then submitting valid

values is mandatory, or the item cannot be submitted.

submitting inexact or self-assigned global-trade-data, or submitting
identifier_exists no when valid global-data-data currently exists, are
grounds for the item to be removed from the auctions, disapproval,
or a suspension from the program, at any time.
