a valid color should simply be a single standard color
name for the most dominant color of the item-offer.
for example, an onyx ring might have a color value of simply:
up to three dominate colors may be submitted -- separated by slashes;
for example, a turquoise and onyx ring with a gold band might use a
color value of:
for example, a perl ring with a silver band:
only one value is allowed for variant attributes --
for color, up to three slash-separated standard
color names is consider one, single, value.
submitting multi-colored or other invalid values
for the color attribute has been a violation of the
policies for quite some time.
any descriptive values such as various, variety, see image,
none, multi, see our site, n/a, etc., are simply not allowed.
there are also related image_link policies for color.
there are additional item_group_id policies if the
item is one among a group of submitted variants.
google's automated policy detection systems may
change or improve over time -- so, issues that were
not flagged historically may be flagged in the future;
generally, always hand-inspect all submitted data
and the website link landing-pages against all the
current rules and policies.
