I'm looking for information on how to integrate my Google Shopping account and my eBay store. Does anyone have any information about how I can do this? Some of the information I have found online is outdated...

marketplace-sellers simply cannot use a merchant-center-account.

any integration or similar issues must be handled directly by ebay.

importantly, google allows only one listing per product --

regardless of the number of websites.

Hello Celebird. Thank you for the link, I will read over and contact eBay directly if needed. Our eBay items are actually different than what is on our website, so there wouldn't be any duplication in items.

first, you're welcome.

contacting ebay directly sounds like the best course.

also, google has both duplicate listings
and duplicate/similar content policies.

How is google shopping different than ebay or amazon?

google-shopping shows product-listing-ads --
google-shopping is a paid advertising venue
where shoppers can search, compare, and
then purchase products from the advertiser's
e-commerce website.

ebay is mainly an e-commerce site that
auctions and sells other people's items.

amazon is mainly an e-commerce site that sells amazon items.

of course, each may have some overlapping aspect of the other --
since searching and displaying products are common features.

Thank you for clarifying. I still have a lot to learn, I see!

So, when I see an ebay product appear in GS, that means that the Ebayer
paid to have it show?

first, you're welcome.

yes -- typically indirectly via fees; that is,
a marketplace (such as ebay) must submit
a seller's items so, the marketplace pays
for the ad directly.

basically, google only allows the owner of
the e-commerce website to submit items.

a merchant's physical inventory items may be submitted
to google-shopping only once, from only one website.

all items that appear on google-shopping are paid ads --

based on the results of ad-auctions; the cost is per click.
