Insufficient products identifiers: Missing two of three identifiers

Hi,

I've setup feeds for different countries. Some validate and others report the error in subject, although all fields are the same and include brand and GTIN. Any idea or suggestion?

Here's an item example in the feed:

<item>

any global-trade-data (gtin, brand, mpn) submitted must be
valid and from the manufacturer, typically stamped directly
on the product or package --
http://www.gs1.org/barcodes/ean-upc

any variants with proper item_group_id values
have additional rules and policies with respect
to global-trade-data.

google may only show examples of errors to help determine a fix --
that does does not mean there are not other items with the same
issue but are not being flagged with an error.

different countries require a unique id value per item per country --
the same feed cannot be used for more than one target-country;
that is a policy violation and grounds for disapproval or suspension
from the program, at any time.

google only wants valid global-trade-data,
directly from the manufacturer, typically
stamped directly on the product or package,
on the exact item being sold.

the type of physical item determines what is required by google --
for example, most apparel items require only a valid brand;
for example, most media items only require a valid gtin;
for example, most all other types of items require two out of three,
valid and accurate global-trade-data values (mpn, gtin, brand).
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/1344057

designated-brands require both a valid brand and a valid gtin.

otherwise, if the item does not have valid global-trade-data,
as required by google and assigned by the manufacturer, the
item must be submitted with identifier_exists FALSE without
any mpn, gtin, or brand attribute (tags) whatsoever.

all fields cannot be the same -- global-trade-data
(unique-product-identifiers) must be unique per
item and assigned by the manufacturer.

global-trade-data cannot be self-assigned by merchants --
that is a policy violation and grounds for disapproval
or suspension, at any time.

any invalid, inaccurate, or self-assigned, global-trade-data
(brand, gtin, mpn) cannot be submitted and will be flagged.

generally, forum members require the exact information being submitted;
example data is typically not representative of the issue -- example data is
invalid for global-trade-data and will always return that error, eventually.

otherwise, a merchant-center support-specialist may be contacted directly.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The values I have for (gtin, brand, mpn) are from the manufacturer. This is for the manufacturer official site.

Each country has its own feed, with different pages on the website. The unique ID value per country is probably OK because I can validate feeds for different countries.

The Google category used (201) requires at least two of (gtin, brand, mpn) and they are present.

The code given was anonymized but everything is in the exact same place, same lengths (except URLs) e.g. space in the GTIN CDATA. I'll have to check with the brand before giving true values.

I submitted a request to the support two days ago with no reply until now.

first, you're welcome.

generally, using data from the manufacturer's website does not
necessarily correlate with valid gtin or with the exact physical item
being sold; always verify the data with the official bar-code digits
and brand stamped directly on the product or package, typically
at the factory, against the gs1 examples and valid check digits.
http://www.gs1.org/barcodes/ean-upc

valid and accurate gtin should normally not have any spaces,
only digits -- again, google may not nessariily flag all errors.

importantly perhaps, the g: name-space seems to be missing from the example.

the best course is likely to continue working directly with google
so a person can look into the data-feed and account details.

You're right, I should wait for Google's answer.
Thanks again for your answer.
