Impact of Product Group structure in SERP

Hello all,

Could you help me to understand to what extent the Product Group structure that you set in your Google Shopping campaign determines the way the products are displayed in SERP?

Thanks very much,

Ileana

outcomes in the auctions are determined by bid and quality.

product-groups assign the bid; the product-groups help
determine if and when an item might win a specific slot

in the auctions and appear -- not the display.

google decides the format and display of product-listing-ads --
product-groups do not impact the way in which an item might
be seen, grouped, or displayed in results.

mainly, snippets from the title and description attributes,

that are submitted (in the feed), are used to help google

determine the final display of an ad.

all other attributes submitted may also

influence how an item is displayed --

depending on the context.

submitted (feed) data greatly impacts quality.

ad-groups may also be used to assign promotional-text

to a set of items, that can then be used by google when

an ad is displayed.

product-groups and product-listing-ads are
entirely separate from organic-search results.
