to remove all items in bulk from the merchant-center --

if a feed is being used simply remove all items

from the feed and resubmit the empty feed --

that is, resubmit the data-feed (file) with no items.

if the api is being used then, a bulk-delete
may be issued -- whoever is supporting
the api should likely be contacted for
details on how to issue a bulk-delete.

any delete may take 24-72 hours or so to fully complete --
the delete should be verified by looking into
the products-tab of the merchant-center to
be certain (all) items have been removed --
before re-submitting the feed with items.

generally, never delete the registered data-feed
unless a person at google indicates to do so --
only one single feed should ever be registered once.

as an aside, items are tracked by id; the id of an item

must be unique across all target-countries and should

never, ever, change for the physical item -- items are

tracked by id.

a best-practice is to use a mix of letters and numbers for id; e.g.

abc123uk

that said, a best-practice, and the normal procedure,

is simply to make any and all corrections are then

re-submit the same feed with both good data and

any corrections, with the same id values for all items --

there is no need to ever delete the items first.

well, I only saw this after I created my issue.

I created a new feed rather than deal with the old and deleted the old feed. So now when I upload the new feed, it tells me that the products are Item uploaded through multiple feeds. I see what's happened but don't see how to fix. So deleting the first set of products is preferable unless there's another way to do this. I don't see a solution! And these products need to be updated daily.

simply ignore any messages related to being uploaded through multiple feeds.

verify that no id values have changed for any physical inventory item,
and verify that there are no duplicate items, by carefully inspecting
all items listed under the products-list tab:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/items

going forward, be certain to use only one, single,
primary-feed for any and all updates -- including
changes, additions, deletes, and any re-uploads.

to delete any item, simply remove the item from the feed and resubmit;

never reuse any id value, unless the same physical item is added back.

google does not support incremental updates or submitting subsets of inventory

that were previously submitted in the primary-feed -- that is, any missing items

from the primary-feed are considered a delete and not wanted for shopping-ads.

also, verify that there is only one, single, primary-feed registered
for the target-country, and there is only one, single primary-feed
for that target-country, under the products-feeds tab:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/products/sources

the primary-feed must be re-submitted at least monthly --
usually 5-days before the 30-day default expiration day --
and immediately, whenever a critical change, on the website,
or to the merchant's physical inventory, occurs.

as was indicated, never delete the primary-feed
unless someone at google indicates to do so.

generally, there is no need for a second primary-feed -- unless there
are more than about 50000 - 100000 inventory items, or another

country's fixed-price landing-pages have been added to the claimed

website and that country is also being targeted for shopping-ads.
