How do I submit duel sizing for shoes?

We have many shoe products that are labeled with duel sizes (e.g. 4-5, 6-7, 8-9), but these are all receiving warnings in our Google feed. They aren't being outright disapproved, but I've been told that having hundreds of warnings on products can have a negative impact on our quality score. Is there a format that Google will accept? Some details that may or may not be significant:

  • We are sending our feed from a Shopify store through the Google Shopping app.
  • We use an endash instead of a regular dash between numbers, because when exporting a regular dash as a UTF8, .csv file, excel would change them to special symbols. The endash gets left alone, so we don't have to worry about it.
  • We tried just picking one size before, but it frustrates customers, because they don't understand why we only carry "every other size." (E.g. 5, 7, 9)

How can we appease Google without doing away with our duel sizing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

only an indivdual, physical, inventory item is allowed to be submitted --
unless the item-offer is sold as a bundle or multipack of multiple items --

or is otherwise a policy violation and grounds for disapproval or suspension

from the program, at any time.

each physical inventory offer must be submitted separately --
availability must reflect that specific product's stock status.

in addition, shoes must follow specific policies for variants --
for example, a proper item_group_id value and a proper size
value for each individual, physical inventory, item-offer
within each variant-group, are required.

for example, if every other shoe size is carried (5, 7, 9) then,
three item-offers must be submitted, each with a single size,
and the same item_group_id value.

only a (variant) item-offer that is physically in
current inventory may be submitted as in stock.

a number, space, and width are recommended as a shoe-offer size value; e.g.
11.5 E

if the single product fits multiple (foot) sizes

then any reasonable value should be allowed,

but will likely still trigger a warning.

for exactly how this is done for the specific e-commerce system
being used, the best likely course would be to contact shopify
support directly for guidance on how to submit variants with
proper detailed-product-attributes that meet google's policies.

otherwise, a merchant-center shopping-ads

support specialist at google may be contacted.
