Hi there,

If you just want to stop showing on Google Shopping, you could just pause the PLA/Shopping campaigns that you have active in AdWords. Or if you want to "break the link" between your Merchant Center account and an AdWords account, you can select to make an AdWords account "inactive" in the Settings (under "AdWords") in the Merchant Center interface.

Hope that helps!

CocoP - Thank you so much. I am very grateful.

1.When AdWords is inactive, are the data feeds in a User Merchant Account accessible to the search engine?

You need to have Product Listing Ads enabled and active in AdWords in order for the products to show in the ad results or on Google Shopping.

I understand. I prefer an alternative solution. What is the logical reason the Merchant Center is so restrictive now. I used the Merchant Center successfully for several years without AdWords. Alternatives to the severe restrictions on the Merchant Center are in a Users' (Google customer) best interest.
