How can I verify with a redirecting URL?

Our advertised URL is notecardcafe.com but resolves to houseofmagnets.com/notecardcafe and seems to make it impossible to verify our domain to set up our merchant account. Is that the problem?

that is correct.

such redirects are simply not allowed.

the most common options are:

either (a): only use the resolved, direct, url to submit all inventory;

generally, only one website is allowed per merchant so the default

merchant-center-account allows only one, single, website, without

redirects to other websites.

or (b): remove the redirect and remove all duplicate inventory and have
two unique, separate, websites with two separate sets of inventory, and
use a merchant-center multi-client-account, to submit the two sites.

note that all products submitted must be in the merchant's possession and
multiple websites with duplicate inventory or duplicate content cannot be
submitted -- or is otherwise a policy violation and grounds for disapproval
or suspension, at any time.

I understand about inventory URLs, but my problem is verifying the URL so we can complete setting up our account. Obviously we need our main URL to display for our account and not the resolved one. I have no problem putting the resolved one in the product link...

(a) verifying more than one site under a default account is simply not allowed.

generally, only one, single, website is allowed per merchant so the default
merchant-center-account allows only one, single, website, to be verified.

using only one website is also a best-practice and strongly recommended
for both shopping-ads and for building a brand and brand awareness.

that is, use one website for both cards and magnets -- similar to
a department-store website selling many categories of inventory.

(b) to verify more than one website requires a multi-client-account --
with websites that do not redirect, without any duplicate content
and without any similar physical inventory.

note that submitting multiple websites (domain url's) with either similar
physical inventory or duplicate content is a policy violation and grounds
for a disapproval or suspension from the program, at any time.
