Hello, and thank you for your time, as a new member of the team here I really appreciate and value any assistance you all might render this poor aspiring advertiser.

I have opened the merchant account for four items that are all custom made and handcrafted. "Custom Biker Wallet Chains," my ideal keyword, It serves me best in the AdWords search campaigns, but the problem I am seeing is that I am not receiving any imps off of the 'Shopping' campaign. Maybe 5 total in a very long time, I have increased my bid at one time as high as 12 a click, I am not sure if that is competitive or if we can get 'under first page bid' information for the Shopping.

Could you all offer any suggestions for my feed or landing page?

I hope this is readable when I press the 'Post' button, I had originally used the 'identifier_exists' field set to 'no' and was advised by support not to use that field set to 'no'

If there are other fields, like shipping that I should add would I edit that through the Supplemental feed or edit the primary feed?

(1) no;

the background does not have to be on the item's landing page --
the submitted-image and landing-page-image may be different.

(2) no;

the data submitted should match the landing-page
as closely as possible, whenever possible; after
the items begin to show, the landing-page should be
updated to reflect any major changes, such as title.

certain attributes must match exactly at all times; for example --

price and sale_price must match the landing-page, exactly, at all times.

if physical inventory availability, or shipping, is on the landing-page,
then those values must match the final, processed, merchant-center

data, seen under the products-tab, exactly, at all times.

having all submitted-data match the landing-page, exactly, is best --

but more information may be on the landing-page than is submitted.

(3) usually, the primary-feed should simply be updated and resubmitted;

a supplemental-feed may certainty be used --
that will add a new rule to the primary-feed.

however, using a supplemental-feed may not reflect issues accurately --
since the final, processed, attributes and values, and any related
issues, may only be seen for each item, by clicking on the title,
under the products-list-tab, after full processing has completed.

google may take 72-hours before beginning to show site-related issues --
google must crawl the images and website, to compare the submitted

images to the policies, and the site to the submitted-data and policies.

Hi Matthew,

 In my experience with shopping ads I've always had to include shipping information. You may want a size attribute included, too. (one size fits all (OS) would probably work).

 Does your feed in the Merchant Center have this product as eligible for Shopping Ads?  Example - GMC > Products > List:

approval-shopping.PNG

 As far as bidding and impressions -- do you know the approximate search volume for your target settings for this product?

That's because the search terms you want to target are not in the title. Google matches search terms based on the title of your product. If you want to target custom, than the word custom needs to be in the title.

Also make sure the title reflects the product accurately otherwise this may result in lower impressions, ranking, disapproval or suspension.

Hope it helps.

(a) images must adhere to all image-related policies --

- images cannot contain borders;
- images cannot contain watermarks or promotional (store) information;
- images must have an entirely white, or entirely transparent, background;
- images must only show the exact product being sold and shipped;

or is otherwise grounds for items to be assigned lower quality over time,
removed from the auctions, disapproval, or a suspension from the program,
at any time.

(b) shipping is required -- be certain that shipping is set in the account;
otherwise,  shipping must be submitted for each item; any shipping
that is submitted for an item will override all account-level shipping,

for that item.

shipping must be set in the account or submitted -- even if zero.

regardless, always verify shipping for an item by carefully inspecting
the shipping-rate-calculator for the item -- by clicking on the item's
title, under the products-list-tab.

shipping must be either exactly accurate or an overestimate.

similarly, be certain tax is set in the account or submitted -- even if zero.

(c) generally, search-terms must be in the title or
description, to win a slot the auctions, to be seen.

verify that all information submitted describes the physical item or
the physical item's features or physical-characteristics -- otherwise,
submitting irreverent details or information that violates google's
guidelines or policies for submitted-data or the website, is grounds

for items to be assigned lower quality, removed from the auctions,

disapproval,  or a suspension from the program, at an time.

(d) if sale_price is submitted, then the non-sale and
sale prices must be displayed on the link landing-page.

(e) generally, handcrafted items, or any item not sold by multiple merchants,
should be submitted with identifier_exists set as no -- and remove any and

all brand, mpn, or gtin data, for the item.

google will automatically add the business's brand (display-name)
to every item submitted and will be indexed for search -- there
is no need to submit the business's brand in any submitted data.

unique-product-identifiers are mainly for global-trade --
for items mass-produced and sold by multiple-merchants.

(f) a best-practice is to use a mix of letters and numbers for id --
especially if a spreadsheet is being used to maintain the data-feed;
for example, tbs101rg30

(g) the website seemed to time-out occasionally --
that is grounds for all items to be removed from
the auctions or a suspension, at any time.

Yes all four are just like that Caleb, my text ads on the AdWords campaign get 1-2k a day in impressions. The average top 3 kind of bid is only about a buck and a half, now when I search in shopping using terms like those I use in my text ads, wallet chain, red and gold wallet chain, these only pull only pull up purses, very expensive purses, it is the same with the black and gold wallet chain, just purses.

You can see in this photo I changed the name for the 2-4 items, I honestly am very uncomfortable with the feed so was afraid to change anything until I saw more info on it, hear what the two of you said I see where I was going in the right direction.

I'll snap new pics, now I do not know how I missed that requirement, does the white background also have to be on the landing page for the item? Is it good practice to build pages specifically for the Shopping's landing page?

When I add the new image links and title, would I edit the primary feed or construct a supplemental feed?

Hey Thanks, Celebird! You're the new official bird of Texas Biker Steel :-)

Edit: about the page speed, we are in the process of migrating to a Cloud server today so everything is slow right now, I am also converting everything to PNG, hence my willingness to retake pix at this moment.
