Help With Google Shopping Campaign Targeting & Product Feed

Hi Guys,

I have two feeds created as per different countries requirements.

First feed is for US  and second one is for France.

My question is, When ill target both countries in one campaign will the feed be automatically fetched and start serving ads in the respected targeted countries ?

OR

I am suppose to create two separate campaigns for each country that i am targeting ?

I don't have much experience in managing Google Shopping campaigns. What will be the best practices to optimize the shopping campaign ?

Looking forward for some great replies!

Thanks,

Hi Azeem,

As per my understanding, you should be creating 2 different campaigns targeting different countries i.e. US and France in your case.

As you know that the prime factor in terms of Shopping campaigns is your merchant center feed and you should make sure that the feeds are adhering to the country specific policy and have all important attributes and parameters before you launch your Shopping campaigns.

first, a website (link) landing-page and e-commerce checkout that

adhere to all the requirements of a target-country must  exist --

before a feed can be created and submitted for a target-country.

machine-language translation or automated price-currency conversions
are generally not allowed for the submitted (feed) data or on the website.

(1) a separate campaign per target-country is normally
created -- with a specific country-of-sale setting and
different set of bids for each country's (feed) items.

google will then index the product-listing-ads within the
appropriate google-shopping domain and target the ads
based on a combination of the target-country's submitted
feed data, campaign details, and user behavior.

each target-country has separate rules, policies, and requirements for
the website, e-commerce, physical products, and submitted (feed) data.

auction results are based on the bid and quality factors.

(2) generally, optimization begins with (the quality of) the
website (link landing-page) and all submitted (feed) data --
most especially the title, description, and image quality
and accuracy of the global-trade-data (brand, mpn, gtin),

price on the website, and physical inventory availability.

campaigns might be optimized based on the types of items being
sold, the bid strategy, and the overall advertising budget and goals --
e.g. bidding higher on specific brands or lower on low-margin items.

performance should be closely monitored to verify that a campaign's
structure and bid strategy are aligned with the budget and ad goals.
