Google shopping feeds & required GTIN for customized products
We selling reading glasses and are authorized resellers for all the designer frames that we offer, some of those brands are listed on updated GTIN required brands and I am receiving e-mails stating "Google Shopping Items Are At Risk of Disapproval."
The problem is that we take these designer frames and replace the lenses with magnified lenses, so the original GTIN that the manufacturer uses would not reflect the product we are now selling.
To give an example one frame we receive a Kate Spade Adina sunglass from Kate Spade we then take the sunglasses and put in a +1.50 magnified lens. So the original GTIN the product had will not accurately reflect the product we are selling but these authentic product from the manufacturer who we have permission to modify the product before selling ourselves.
What are our options?
Re: Google shopping feeds & required GTIN for customized produ
if a brand is added to the designated-brand list then,
a valid and accurate brand and gtin would be required --
as assigned by the brand-manufacturer, to the exact
item being sold; otherwise, such items simply cannot
be submitted as a product-listing-ad without risking
a disapproval or suspension, at any time.
the frame might be sold alone, without any lens.
otherwise, the frame and specific lens might be
sold as a bundle (is_bundle set TRUE) with the
brand and gtin for the main item (the frame).
be certain the submitted item and link-landing-page match exactly.
otherwise, there are other campaign-types and ad-formats that
are available and might be a better fit for advertising such items --
