Google shopping advertiser is damaging our local business

Good day,

We have some issue with google shopping / sponsored links from some advertiser.

First of all we are only the IT company from one of our customers and not the actual merchant account holder.

Here is the issue.

Our customer, only local trading in south africa with local products, is using google merchant and shopping feed to display his products on google.

For example his product A is for R188.

Now is there a different international trading merchant, which is doing the same, BUT the prices are shown under sponsored links on google is damaging our local business and they are wrong.

Then from this merchant the prices are shown in south african currency (ZAR = R).

This merchant is based in the US, but is advertising on south african market.

So here the issue, his product is $9.99 but google shows in the products sponsored feeds that he is offering this product for R9.99 and our customer is offering the same product for R188.

For sure the customers don't click on our customers Ad, but on the wrongly advertised Ad from the company in the US.

Then when you click on the US company Ad which is offering the same product for R9.99 then you come to a website and the IP detection is switching the currency from $9.99 to R111.

Never mind that he can sell the product for R111 but clearly plus freight to SA from the US.

The issue here is that this is damaging our customers local business then this US company is offering the same product as our local customer for a fraction of the price, which is clearly wrong then the price is switching when you visit the actual product page.

What can we do??

Help please

If the merchant is not following Google's Policy, you can report them here : https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/policy?hl=en&p=shop

A price submitted in Google Shopping must be identical on the landing page when you buy it. So in this case he is violating Google's Policy.

Hope it helps.
