the best likely course is to first verify the
site using only the google-search-console:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35179

that is, do not use the merchant-center-account to verify the website/store.

if there are any issues with verifying the website using the
google-search-console, then the best likely course is to contact
prestashop support directly and also post the issue within google's
webmaster-central-help-forum and prestrashop's forums:
https://www.prestashop.com/en/contact
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!categories/webmasters/verification

then, later, after the website has been verified
using the google-search-console, simply claim
the website within the merchant-center-account.

first, you're welcome.

simply ignore the merchant-center.

as was indicated, the instructions for how to verify the site using google-analytics are here:

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35179

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35179#google_analytics_verification

post any questions about how to verify the website with google-analytics, here:

https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!categories/webmasters/verification

for exact instructions on how to add the code to the shop/site,

the best likely course is to contact prestrashop support directly:

https://www.prestashop.com/en/contact

after the website has been verified, then

claim the website in the merchant-center --

only the claim needs to take place within

the merchant-center, not verification.

after the website has been both verfied

and claimed, then the two will be linked.

otherwise, google may be contacted here:

https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/website_verification

this is mainly a peer-to-peer forum --

forum-members do not have access

to any accounts.
