Due to the nature of my store, I have to create a manual product feed (I think). I'm creating a spreadsheet myself. But have no Idea how to add item group id and also make sure all of the details on my site are correct. I really need help this is so confusing. Any pointers would be appreciated.

if the store is built with an e-commerce system then there may be no need
to create a manual-feed -- first check with the developer of the website
or try asking in the e-commerce-system's official help-forum for guidance.

as to item_group_id in a spreadsheet (feed) --

item_group_id is simply another column (heading).

item_group_id indicates to google that a set of inventory items are variants --
item_group_id values must be identical for all items within each variant-group.

note that there are many additional requirements for variants.
