Getting Grouped in Shopping Tab ( 'From 2 Shops' )

Hi There,

We have some big concerns over our rankings within the Google Shopping tab, it appears we are constantly being grouped with other advertisers which heavily effects our visibility on all products. ( Says 'From 2 shops' instead of our company name and we lose our company review stars )

We asked Google directly about this a while ago and got very little direction on how the rankings work and why we get grouped.

The products we are getting grouped with are normally always a different pack size all together, If we know the specific product attribute which is matching a competitors feed we could change it.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

generally, compare-prices is dynamic based on the search-terms and
other features selected by users and the accuracy of all data submitted.

for example, longer-tail search-terms may show specific individual items.

for example, the accuracy and quality of all global-trade data
(mpn, gtin, brand), as assigned by the brand-manufacturer,
that is submitted by you and all merchants selling the exact
same product item-offer.

global-trade-data that is assigned by the brand-manufacturer must
be identical across all merchants selling the item -- try re-checking
the product-packaging for valid and accurate global-trade data:
http://www.gs1.org/barcodes/ean-upc
importantly, not all bar-codes are valid global-trade-data.

if other merchants seem to be violating the rules or policies,
such as assigning improper global-trade-data to improper
sizes or packs of items, google may be contacted directly.

although compare-prices is likely dynamic based on the search-terms used
and the accuracy and quality of all data submitted, google has not to-date
published any details or requirements for entry, and in no way guarantees
entry into or isolation from compare-products.

however, forum members can mainly offer suggestions;
as was indicated, google has not yet divulged any details
related to how ads are grouped, displayed, or formatted --
despite being asked many many times before.

also, there are constant experiments with product-listing-ad
display and format so such details may change at any time.

Well with more than 15 clients I can say that everyone hates this. It's not productive for the merchant.

A very good system for customers.

I know this is not going away, so my suggestion to Google is that they combine all the products that are the same. Currently there are too many merchants split apart.

I can see Google is working towards it by forcing GTIN, I would suggest that this needs quicker development so all products require GTIN or be removed.
