I have the admin rights to my own spreadsheet and have walked through the merchant center tutorial and still cannot figure out why my automatic feed wont upload?!?!?

I keep getting the error, "Get file entries failed: Failed to obtain the file listing. Please make sure the files exist and that your feed has the permission to access them."

I've even logged in, opened my own brand new worksheet (from the "+feed" tab) and populated it...and it still doesnt work!

Hi Justin,

I had the same issue, but this was a quick fix for me:

1. Make sure that those feeds (spreadsheet) still exist in the Drive, so I would recommend to check if you haven't deleted them by any chance.

2. Also, please change the access to the access type "people with the link" just to make sure there is no access issue. I understand that you have the admin rights, however, to read the file that you're using for feed upload, its necessary to have this option turned on.

Please let me know if this resolved your issue Smiley Happy

This is a very common issue, I have not found a solution as of yet. And found with most of my customers it automatically fixed itself. I suggest to keep on clicking fetch now within Google Merchant data feed and do this at least every 29 days.

Alternatively contact Google Adwords team to assist you.

Thank you Spriha,

This has been doing my head in, but changing the sharing permissions to "anyone with the link" worked right away for me!

Thanks Smiley Happy
