Fetch File URL for Google Shopping

I purchased a Datafeed Manager for my Magento site and want to submit the feed to Google Shopping. When I try to register the Datafeed via the Google Merchant Center, it says to type in the Fetch File URL. Our file databeed name is google.com.xml so when I type ftp://google.com.xml into the Fetch File URL in merchant center, it says the file name is invalid. What am I doing wrong?

the fetch-file-url is only for a scheduled-fetch --
if the plug-in is submitting the data then, there
is no need for a scheduled-fetch (skip that step).

if the plug-in requires a scheduled-fetch then,
the url must be the location of the registered
feed file located on your site (not google's); e.g.
http://www.example.com/inventory/google.com.xml 
ftp://www.example.com/inventory/google.com.xml 

in that case, the website must also allow google proper

access to the data (feed) file and support the protocol.

if the plug-in uses ftp to upload to
google then, google's ftp server is:
uploads.google.com

the best likely course is to contact whoever is supporting
that particular magento plug-in (extension), or possibly
the magento-forums, to ask exactly what is required for
that specific plug-in to function properly.
