generally, be certain the oauth token is up-to-date
and the merchantid is proper for the account.

also, the list products call returns the item's title -- not the feed title.

more generally, a data-feed (file) and the api
should not be used to submit the same items.

otherwise, the content-api-for-shopping forum is currently here:

Hello Celebird

Thank you for your reply.

I am integrating product listing ads to my website. For that i used shopping content api and with that now i can create a datafeed from my website to google merchant center and to that datafeed I am uploading products. Google approved my products and all are listed in active products section. So the same is I am showing in my website. But when i show this i need to related it to the data feed. I mean in which feed it is uploaded. With the listproducts function and listproducts status function I am not getting the feed source name. But in the google dashborad when we click on an active product it is showing source feed name. Are you able to help me in this. I posted it in shopping content forum but i didn't get any reply.

first, you're welcome.

the datafeeds and datafeedstatuses requests
will return information about the feed itself --
however, there is currently no api request
to return information about which feed is
associated with which item.

typically, only one, single, feed should ever be registered --
once -- that one, single, registered feed should be used for
all uploads (additions, changes, and deletions); any missing
item from the feed (file) is considered a delete and items
are tracked by id.

the one registered data-feed can handle about 100,000 items or so;

normally, the one, single, registered feed should never be deleted

once registered -- unless requested to do so by a person at google.

generally, once the item is inserted into the base system
the source of how the information got inserted, currently,
is not exposed to the public api.

more generally, there are features and details shown
within the merchant-center-account that, currently,
simply cannot be exposed using any public api call;

such information is internal to google.

Hi

Thanks once again for spending time for me.

Here I am giving my google merchant center product details page. When i clcik on one of my active products i will get this screen. There we can see some technical details of that product. Is there any way to get that technical details of the product with the api? I need atleast that source feed name of that product. I s there any way to get the source feed of that product with the shopping content api? All other details i am getting with the listproducts and listproductstatus.

first, you're welcome again.

unfortunately, the technical-details information, that is
seen within the products-tab of the merchant-center,
is currently not available via the v2 api; the v1 version
of the api exposed some information, but neither v1
nor v2 has exposed the feed information.

that said, since there would normally be only one,
single, data-feed registered for all items submitted
the use-cases would likely be rather limited for such
a feature to be considered.

if the use-case is explained in more detail,
alternative designs might be considered.

Thank you Celebird

I wish, In future if a there is a chance to include the section to get the feed title from the products in the shopping content api then it will be a better option for us to filter the result.

all searchable items are eligible for migration to the
registered adwords account, regardless of feed --
so there is no filtering in that regard and items
cannot be blocked from adwords based on a feed.

in most all cases, a live feed should not be used for testing --

submitting test items via a live feed is grounds for disapproval

or account-suspension, at any time.

normally, to test items and feeds a test data-feed file is registered;
all test-feed items are automatically filtered from the products-tab
by google -- and therefore adwords:
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/1188998

the api equivalent of a test-feed is the dry-run flag for inserts.

Hello Celebird

Can I add Test Feeds using shopping content api?

When I add test feeds by selecting Mode Test through google dashboard it is not listing in my website with listdatafeeds.

How i can give the mode Test using the insert fucntion of shopping content api. I didn't found an option in the datafeed class to sumit the mode as Standard or Test.
I found another option $format->setQuotingMode is it same to submit mode Test or Standard ?

test-feeds are not exposed to the api.

to test feed manipulation via the api a live feed can be

registered and deleted without uploading any items --

since only one, single, feed should only be registered,

once, during the lifetime of an account there should be

a very limited need for manipulating a feed via the api.

the api equivalent of a test-feed is the dry-run flag for inserts --
dry-run is simply a parameter appended to the request uri.

both test-feeds and the dry-run flag allow items to
pass through google's attribute testing and report
potential issues without going live.

neither test-feeds nor the dry-run flag allow items
to be added to the products-tab -- since any items
in the products-tab are considered live (active).

i.e. there is no sandbox.
