Feed Error: GTIN Value not valid but GS1 US says it is
I have been getting an error from my Google Shopping feed that has been saying some GTIN values were not right. While I fixed the nearly 50 of them, 1 in particular still is returning invalid. I checked with some people around the office here to find out just what the code was exactly (UPC code) and I finally got my answer. I looked it up here: upcitemdb and it linked correctly to the product.
We use Channel Advisor to upload our shopping feed so I uploaded our .txt file to them and around 11 AM EST every day it updates. Today it updated saying the GTIN was still not valid. I read through some more support topics and got directed to GS1US's calculator. Putting in the first 11 digits of the UPC code and clicking "Calculate" causes the calculator to successfully calculate the check value, meaning my UPC code is correct.
Is Google just interpreting my UPC as incorrect, even though it is correct? Or is there another issue?

try checking the physical bar-code digits directly on the product or package --
checking on-line databases or check-digits
do not necessarily indicate the bar-code is
valid for the physical item.
generally, only valid gs1 digits that have been
assigned by a brand-manufacturer to an exact,
specific, product, for retail sale, are allowed --
for example, gtin indicating mass-produced items
or palette-level codes are generally not allowed.
all merchants selling the same item should be submitting the same valid
global-trade-data (gtin and brand) as assigned by a brand-manufacturer.
otherwise, forum-members cannot look into any accounts or submitted data.
if a third-party is handling the feed data then, the best likely
course is to contact the third-party support-group directly.
otherwise, a merchant-center support specialist may be contacted.
