FTP to upload products to google shopping not working

Created several FTP files in FileZilla.  It's saying transfer was successful, but they are not showing up on merchant dashboard.  I am a novice at FTP files although I did manage to do transfer to Amazon recently.  Any insight would be most appreciated.

ftp'd files do not automatically show on the merchant-center dashboard --
the data-feed file must be registered first; then, the same registered feed
is used for all re-uploads, regardless of the re-upload method.

for ftp, the file is uploaded to google's servers, immediately disappears
from view, and the last-upload-date and status change for the registered
data-feed, during and after file processing.

simply be certain that (a) there is only one feed file registered
for the target-country (b) the ftp file that is re-uploaded exactly
matches the registered feed's file-name and (c) the last-upload
date and status change for the registered feed, on the dashboard:
https://merchants.google.com/Home?#feeds.dashboard

the last-upload-date normally changes within a few minutes after the ftp.

also, be certain to verify the technical-contact email settings

within the account and set the option to always send-results:

https://merchants.google.com/Home?#basicsettings

also, if the ftp is via a scheduled-fetch then, the
upload will not happen until the scheduled-time --

assuming the file matches the registered feed,

the url is valid, and the server allows google to

access the file.
