Do I need a separate account for each data feed for each website?

Thread copied from Merchant Center Forum

How many websites can I have for one product feed account?
Example :

If I have one website, www.CatHouses.com for example.
I make a Google Product feed account and create a data feed for it.

I have a second website, www.DogHouses.com.
Can I use the www.CatHouses.com account
to add a data feed for www.DogHouses.com?

Or do I need to create another Google Product feed account
and use that for www.DogHouses.com?

Because in the "General settings" tab, the info is for "Cats" and not "Dogs",
and specifies the www.CatHouses.com website.

Thanks

Hi Gary

You have two options.

You can create two individual accounts, which will require two login email address or you create a multi client account - https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/188487?hl=en-GB

To request one, please complete this form - https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/account2?ctx=direct

If you do so, then you will have one login email address, however, from within this login, you will be provided one dashboard which displays all registered domains. By clicking on each domain you will be provided an individual dashboard for that account which will allow you to manage your domains feed.

So for your circumstances, you would be looking at the following

Doghouse.com - Settings would be set to this domain, description would be related to this site, feed would contain this sites items only.
Cathouse.com - Settings would be set to this domain, description would be related to this site, feed would contain this sites items only.

Once your Multi-Client account has been approved, you will need to complete set up just as you would normally (claiming URL, creating feed set up etc)
