I'm not finding the option to create Shopping ads, and can't find any information about it changing. Any info is appreciated!

They did change a few months back. You can see the shopping ad configurations inside Merchant Center. You don't have to write anything for an ad. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6275294?authuser=0

First you need to ensure you understand Google's Shopping Policy

Than signup to Google Merchant

https://www.google.com/retail/merchant-center/

Creat a data feed, this can be a spreadsheet, xml file, plugin or management tool

https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/188478?hl=en

Than when the products are approved, create a campaign in Google Adwords

Hope it helps

Thank you. So essentially, they have removed the ad option in AdWords?
I know "special offer" is available in Merchant Center, but I also liked the ad in AdWords, and just want to be sure I'm not missing something...

Thanks again!

(1) inventory product (feed) data is submitted
within the google-merchant-center-account.

(2) shopping-campaigns are created and configured within the linked ad-account.

(3) active inventory product-data that is submitted via the merchant-center,
will migrate into the linked ad-account's shopping-campaign, automatically --
if the data matches a product-group and has enough bid, budget, and quality,
to win a slot within the ad-auctions, then google will automatically create the
shopping-ad for display, based on the submitted product-data.

there is nothing whatever that has changed in this regard.

(4) special-offers is an optional shopping-ad-enhancement --
special-offers are submitted or configured, separately, via
the merchant-center-account, since inventory product-data
cannot use any promotional-text.

there are also retail-dynamic-remarketing ads that use

merchant-center-data and custom-dynamic-remarketing

ads that look similar, but use the business-data-center

within the ad-account to submit (feed) data.

at one time, there were product-listing-ads with product-extensions,
that could be configured directly in an existing (keyword) text-ad --
but that feature has long since been retired.
