Hi All,

I am launching a German website and want to start uploading a German product feed. I'm struggling to find any articles on what parts of the feed i need to translate.

Does anyone know what to do with the condition and availability?

Thanks

language translation depends on the type of feed
and the language requirements of the registered
feed's target-country.

for a tab-delimited feed, the attribute-names must
be either in all u.s. english or all in the language of
the registered feed's target country -- never both.

for an xml feed or items submitted via the api,
all attribute-names must be in u.s. english.

then, for attributes with google-defined values (such as condition) --
their attribute-names and values simply must be in the same language.

all other attribute values must be in the language of
the registered feed's target country and match the
information on the link landing-page of the website.

all information must be translated by a person.

importantly, machine translations are not allowed -- even via google-translate.

Hi Celebird,

I am uploading using an XML.

"then, for attributes with google-defined values (such as condition) --
their attribute-names and values simply must be in the same language."

So if i am uploading a german feed condition must be in german?

Thanks
Luke

first, you're welcome.

for an xml feed or items submitted via the api,
all attribute-names must be in u.s. english --
for attributes with google-defined values, their

names and values must be in the same language --
therefore, condition values must be in u.s. english.

Hi William,

The only fields you'll need to translate will most likely be the title, description, and potentially the color and sizes.
