Chunk of products on Merchant Centre constantly "awaiting review"

Currently have a chunk of around 400~ products that have been awaiting review for almost a month now.

are there any common symptoms for this happening? Nothing has changed to these products since they were first added, and have been fine till around a month ago when we had a sudden spike of products that are set to "awaiting review"

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

new or lagging reviews are usually triggered by a few issues --
(a) a potential policy violation of an item, image, site, or type of product;
(b) submitted data not adhering to the rules or policies of a target-country;
(c) an existing feed with unreported (syntax) errors;
(d) an item that has not been updated with respect to an updated policy;
(e) certain (feed) data updates -- such as a new product or any new id;
(f) a feed that has not been updated (re-uploaded) in over a month;
(g) id values that change or are not unique per-item, or across multiple feeds;
(h) a landing-page or image that cannot be crawled properly, at all times;
(i) a feed submitted too frequently with respect the expiration-date;

(j) any change to a website including images, microdata, content, or structure.

also, under the diagnostics-tab, under the current-issues section --
try clicking on the account, feeds, and items, flagged or blue boxes.

if there are any obvious issues, simply make the corrections in the
feed or on the website and then re-upload the registered data-feed,
before contacting google.

otherwise, forum members cannot look into data-feeds or account histories --
we would usually need specific information such as exact feed and status
histories, diagnostics screen-captures, exact feed entry details, etc., posted
here in public-forum [minus any personal or private information] to offer
more specific suggestions.

generally, google may re-review an item, feed, or website at any time.

otherwise, if a review-status lingers for more than a
few days or so then, google may be contacted here --
