Child Products Disapproved

Hi Guys, I've got an issue that's driving me nuts and I can't seem to find a solution, hoping someone here can help.

My e-commerce site has thousands of products many of which have a parent child relationship for colour and size variations. These products are set up such that the variants(childs) are redirected with canonicals to the parent product so as to avoid duplicate content, i.e. Google only indexes the parent. The issue is that when this re-direct occurs, the price of the first child is shown, and if there is a price variance due to the size of a product, then the 2nd, 3rd etc child is disapproved on account of pricing differences between the feed and website. I need the re-directs to be ignored when it comes to the feed, but not for Googlebot, but I can't have one without the other.

I have added product variants to the feed, but this didn't work.

I then tried appending the URL's with #c=number #s=number where #c=1 is the first child size, #c=2 the second size, and the same with #s= for colour, this works when typed into the URL bar, but Google ignores the symbols(Javascript) in the feed and my pain persists.

So... I'm hoping what I have explained here makes some sense, and someone can shed some light on a solution for me, surely there are other e-commerce sites out there with similar site functionality.

Thanks in advance.

only physical in stock products may be submitted.

each supported-variant submitted must be physically in stock --

google recommends that each physical variant that is submitted
be preselected on the landing-page, either via url-parameters or

a separate landing-page.

importantly, if url parameters are used to preselect

a physically in stock, in physical-inventory, variant,

be certain a server-side script is used -- client-side

scripts will not meet the related policy requirements.

also, be certain that proper, identical, item_group_id values

are being used for all physical variants within a variant group.

submitting parent products, related redirects, or otherwise improperly submitting

supported-variants per the google-shopping policies, are generally not allowed --

and are grounds for disapproval or a suspension from the program, at any time.
