When trying to lay claim to my website I am told their is another Merchant Center account linked to that url. The email that is shown is my email for the other account. What can I do to resolve this issue?

the best likely course would be to contact google
directly so they can look directly into the accounts.

generally, old accounts cannot and should not be removed --
unless directed to do so by a person at google; the old claim
can be removed simply by removing the website url within
the account's general settings, saving the settings, and then
waiting 24-72 hours or so for the site to be relinquished --
any site removal should be followed by all feeds and all items
being removed from that account.

generally, the email (google-account) use to both verify the

website (within webmaster-tools) and claim the site within

the merchant-center-account must be identical and only one

claim is allowed.

otherwise, google may be contacted here --

I'm only using one email. However when I try to claim my website it tells me that my other email I must of used on a previous account a few years ago is still claiming that domain name. How do I get rid of the old account? I can't seem to log in to the old account with the email that is in conflict.
