Can We Have Different Shopping Campaigns in the same Account?

Hi,

Can We Have Different Shopping Campaigns in the same Adwords Account?

I mean, does it makes sense to have different Shopping campaigns in the same account.

or it is better to have only 1 Shopping campaign with many Product groups?

In my existing Shopping campaign I have 1 Ad group with 1 Product group. (for All Website)

I'd like to make it more specific.

So, how can I break down the current product group by "product_type" creating one dedicated campaign for every available product type?

Note: I'm not sure if I should say:

Create a "Campaign" for every available product type.

or

Create a "Product Group" for every available product type.

Thx!

generally, the bid strategy and promotions should drive the campaign structure.

for example, bidding higher on particular groups of items and then usiing

the catch-all (everything else) group to bid (lower) on the remaining items

is a relatively good bid-strategy to begin.

simply base the campaign's structure on the bid strategy --
first design the bid strategy; then determine if any changes
to the data-feed are needed; then determine the campaign

strucuture to support the bid strategy.

generally, subdivide the campaign into product-groups for each set of bids;

use multiple ad-groups to group items based on promotional messages;

use multiple campaigns if the bid strategy is to use priority levels.

first, you're welcome.

if the bidding strategy is simply to bid differently on
multiple interesting groups of products, this feature
is already built-in by having multiple product-groups
within a single campaign -- there should be no need
for separate campaigns to simply bid differently on
multiple product groups.

separate (shopping) campaigns should only
be needed for more complex bid strategies.

Hi Celebird,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

So, do you think the following would be a good way to structure it?

Focus on bid strategy.

Organisation:
One campaign for every "Product Type". (around 20 product types)

Every "Product Type Campaign" with 1 Ad Group, subdivided with "Product Groups" by Brand.
and point out specific products (at item ID level) depending; Best Sellers, Margings,..

This way we would be able to have specific CPCs to the most interesting groups.

We could assign campaign priority (Low, Medium or High) depending its importance.

What do you think?

Thx!

Thanks Celebird!

This clarifies doubts.
I'll keep analyzing Categories, Products,.. etc to see which ones have more search Volume and I'll divide it in groups. That will provide better results all ready.

Thanks!
