Can I assign a new data feed to a separate campaign in adwords

I have multiple product catagories that I have split into seperate data feeds in my merchant account and would like to be able to seperate them in adwords so I can manage them seperately. Is this possible ?

yes --

product-listing-ads (shopping) search ranking

depends on both the bid and quality factors.

filters and negative-keywords help to
limit which items enter the auctions.

product-groups (or product-targets) use
attributes for creating sets of items to
set different bids based on advertising
goals and bidding strategies.

separation within adwords is based on attributes --
yes, the product_type attribute can be used and
is especially critical when grouping (separating)
items within the linked adwords-account.

the number of feeds does not matter --
all items submitted are all funneled
into the same linked adwords-account.

a single data-feed file can handle about 100000 items --
normally, simply register and use only one single data-feed,
for all inventory, unless the inventory is extremely large.

typically, multiple feeds must be carefully coordinated so that
items do not expire and all product information is up-to-date.

regardless of the number of feeds, be certain all items submitted
have a unique id across all feeds and across all target-counties
and a physical inventory item is submitted only once, to help avoid
review delays, disapproval, or suspension.

Thanks for the reply Celebird.

Im still not sure how I can do this, I know I can filter the products within adwords based on their attributes, but can I then separate them into different campaigns, ad groups or ads. I want to be able to manage them separately.
example: Robes and Pyjamas will have different keywords, cpc and so on.
Right now everything has come through to adwords under one campaign and I can only assign 1 cpc for all products.

first, you're welcome.

generally, the separation is accomplished via attributes --
details mainly depend on the type of product-listing-ad
campaign being used; feeds are irrelevant with respect

to grouping (targeting) product subsets for bidding.

more generally, filters limit which items are included

while product-targets or product-groups create the

sets of (unfiltered) items for bidding strategies.

is a regular-product-listing-ads campaign or
a product-listing-ads shopping-campaign
being used?

importantly, product-listing-ads do not use keywords.

as an aside, one way to emphasize that feeds are

irrelevant with respect to creating sets of items for

bidding stratgies, is to realize that inventory data

can be submitted using the api (rather than feeds) --

where there is no concept of file separation.

Its a product-listing-ads shopping-campaign.

I guess what it comes down to make this even relevant is the question. If I assign a higher CPC for some of my products will they rank higher in the shopping search rankings ?

you're welcome.

just to emphasize -- a higher bid can result in ranking higher

in (shopping) search; but this cannot be guaranteed since

ad-rank is a product of both bid and quality.
