Business still pending review after 4 business days

I am very upset by all of this. On Monday, I uploaded a manual feed to Google Merchant and I was told that it takes 3-4 businesses to review. Now it's been dragging quite some time and my 3 shopping ads are still pending (or in the ORANGE. haha). I contacted customer service yesterday and today - I got nothing but excuses as to why my ads are still pending. I was promised that my ads would be approved TODAY but nothing. I was told by the rep that there was nothing wrong with my ads (no errors, image crawl issues,etc..). They told me they were "backlogged" and are going to "escalate" the matter but they didn't. Hilarious! They even hung up on me.

What am I supposed to do? Wait another week or call every day? The reps seem very clueless about all this. They told me what I already knew. I may have to pull out of this.

Pending Items for More Than a Week - Google Merchant Center

Actually, I have a similar problem. I submitted my feed on Monday and it has been a week and my ads are still "PENDING". I did everything you advised and I contacted customer service. They told me that there were no errors and they were backlogged. It may take more than 4 businesses, possibly a week to get this resolved. How am I supposed to put more products up if every time I have to deal with this bullshit? What a joke. Here I thought they were biased because they knew I was new seller.

I was promised a phone call or email from the review team to get this straightened out but no response. They never escalated the matter. The customer service rep even hung up on me.

the customer-service reps that seem very clueless may be reported to google:
https://support.google.com/adwords/contact/aw_complaint

for the review taking longer than normal, google may also be contacted here:
https://support.google.com/adwords/contact/processing

this is mainly a peer-to-peer community forum --
forum-members can mainly offer suggestions
based on the information posted here in public.

generally, the pending-review mainly relates to requirements and policies,
with respect to the business, business-practices, inspection of the product
details after processing and related policies, the types of items being sold,
image details, website details, e-commerce security, supply-chains, etc. --
so having no errors or no image-crawl issues, are not necessarily indicators
of future review status, or why the review may be taking longer than normal.

most (delays in) awaiting-review are usually triggered by a few issues; e.g.
(a) a potential policy violation of an item, feed, website, or type of item;
(b) submitted data not adhering to the rules or policies of a target-country;
(c) a recently registered feed or a feed with unreported (syntax) errors;
(d) a feed that has not been updated with respect to the most recent policies;
(e) another feed that has not been updated (re-uploaded) in over a month;
(f) certain (feed) data updates -- such as a new product or any id anomalies;
(g) id values that are not unique or change per item across multiple feeds;
(h) using more than one, single, primary-feed;
(i) sites that have complex navigation or variants without proper landing-pages;
(j) merchants who have any inventory previously submitted from other sites;
(k) changing ad-accounts or merchant-center-accounts;
(l) issues that require many re-crawls or multiple reviews by the policy-teams;
etc.

posting the specific website url that was claimed, a specific example of
an item being submitted, with all attributes and values, and any specific
historic information that may impact the review, such as other websites,
may allow other forum-members to offer more specific suggestions.

rechecking the following areas may help uncover any possible issues --

recheck the feed status/processing details by clicking on the feed's name:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/products/sources

recheck the home-tab and diagnostics-tabs:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/merchantdashboard
https://merchants.google.com/mc/insights
https://merchants.google.com/mc/apidashboard
click on any current-issues messages within the blue-boxes, near the bottom.

recheck item-status by clicking on the item's title under the products-list-tab:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/items

recheck the message-archive by clicking on the mail-envelope and subject-lines:
https://merchants.google.com/mc/inbox

if there are any potential issues seen, simply fix the issues
in the submitted data or on the site, and resubmit the feed.

otherwise, the best likely course would be
to continue working directly with google.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. I am frustrated beyond belief. I finally get my ads approved on Saturday and they are not even near the first page. Google finally calls me not to offer me solutions but to pitch me their services. The guy I was working with, Steven told me that in order to show up in Google Merchant, I have to have an ad budget of 1 million dollars! He basically told me on the phone that Google likes to play favourites and generally give people who have the biggest ad spent the most priority. He said something along the lines of our competitors in ecommerce (Wayfair, Pottery Barn, Home Depot) pay roughly $250K per quarter which is INSANE!!

There is no solution to this. I'm going to have to pull out. Thanks for your help anyway.
