Availability

Hi, I see that the 'availability' is a mandatory field to include in the Google Feed. However, when I shop in GS it does not show the availability of the item. Is this never going to show? or is there an option to check to not show it? We do not want to show the availability explicitly. Thank you!

(1) yes, accurate inventory availability is required;

(2) availability may show, purely at google's discretion;

(4) no, currently, there is no such option to check to show or not.

google may show availability details in shopping-ads in certain
instances -- for example, if the item is available-to-order for

future delivery, but currently not in physical stock (preorder).

otherwise, availability is generally an internal/policy related attribute --
for example, to remove out-of-stock items from the listings altogether,
or to verify that the merchant's physical on-hand stock inventory and
related supply-chains, conform to all google's rules and policies, but

currently, tends not to show directly to users; that is, currently, any

out-of-stock items are simply removed from showing in the listings.

that said, currently merchants cannot control any format or display of
any shopping-ads directly -- google's published rules and policies must
simply be followed, or the merchant risks a (permanent) suspension
from the program, at any time.

google decides all format and display details of all shopping-ads --
google may decide to show availably details to users, at any time.

otherwise, there are many other campaign-types and ad-formats
that may be a better fit for advertising, certain types of items, or
with respect to certain merchant-related requirements.
