Any text at all allowed on images?

I understand that Google Shopping  images are not to contain watermarks or promotional text but what about text that is informational and relates only to aspects of the product? I have pictures that show the front and back views of my items and I have the text  "Front View" and "Back View" on some of my images. Is that ok?

all images should be only of the product itself, shown against a
solid white, gray, or light colored background, without borders.

images with words will typically be disapproved eventually --
if not, images effect quality and quality may be lowered if
an image contains any text, other than what's on the product.

only the primary, front, view must be submitted using the required image_link;
any optional views may be submitted using the additional_image_link attribute
and are subjected to the same similar policies.

Thank you so much, Celebird! Can you direct me to where this is documented or officially stated. I am involved in a group and I have to provide reference.
