Adding Edible Items on PLA

Hello All,

I am working for a website which sells cake and am looking to add the cakes in my Shopping Ads Campaign. In google_product_category will add cakes(searching for the best category from Google Taxonomy). How to get GTIN or MPN for a custom cake and do we need to add any other attribute in Merchant Feed to let Google know that the product is cakes or edible item?

Thanks in advance.

1) The correct category for cakes is: Food, Beverages & Tobacco > Food Items > Bakery > Cakes & Dessert Bars

You can find all the taxonomies here: https://www.google.com/basepages/producttype/taxonomy-with-ids.en-US.txt

2) Contact the manufacturer of the cakes, and ask for the bar codes. Then submit the supplied and accurate data in the data feed.

3) All required attributes can be found here: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112?hl=en

Hope this helps.

Thanks Emmanuel for the reply.

Do I need to add any attribute where I need to mention that the product is perishable or so?

An attribute defining perishable does not exist and there is no concept of this in Google Shopping.

I recommend you go to the below link and make sure you have added all attributes that have the word required, in red. Getting used to what is required and what not, will allow you to prevent you from submitting disapproved data.
