It it possible to opt out of the 'Price Drop' extension? It often appears on my client's dynamic remarketing ads, but are conscious that it makes them look like a discount store (which they're really not).

There is no way to disable this function other than not have a price drop, I'm surprised you want to remove it as this feature encourages more clicks and sales. It helps you more than an ad without it.

However if you feel this is something that works against you, you can always submit feedback to Google.

Hope it helps.

I have just had a client asking the same thing with the same opinion. Shame that we can not change this!

for shopping-ads, the price and shipping related extensions are automated --
currently, there is no direct mechanism to opt-out or remove such extensions.

generally, automated-extensions are intended to improve performance.

there are likely a few techniques that may help to

hinder these specific automated triggers from firing;
for example --
(a) submit stable competitive prices over at least 60 days;

(b) do not submit the sale_price attribute;
(c) do not decrease an item's price by more than 5%;
(d) wait at least 60-days between an item's price decrease;
(e) for shipping, do not submit or configure zero shipping rates; overestimate.

however, these techniques are in no way guaranteed to completely
prevent automated-extensions from being triggered for shopping-ads.

otherwise, this is mainly a peer-to-peer forum;

direct feedback may be submitted to google --
