I am very new to this and have signed on for Google Adwords with a starting budget. I'm not sure what happens now? What is the difference between Adwords and a Shopping campaign. Can you have one without the other?

Hi Carleen

Yes, you can have an Adwords account without the use of the Google Merchant Center (Shopping) However, not vice versa.

In order to create a Shopping campaign, you require a Google Merchant Center Account -

Once set up, you are required to create a data feed, this will contain all products from your website.

You will then need to link your Google Merchant Center account and Adwords account in order to create your first Shopping Campaign.
