After over 8 yrs of using google merchant center and adwords, i received this message from Google in my merchant center. I dont know the exact cause. I have been using the same feeds for my business, which have less than 40 products, month after month forever. My adwords campaigns of which there are 4 have not changed as well. My website has not really changed much either. It is just a small electronics product business. I always have had

  • Physical Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Contact Email Address
  • Contact Form
  • Contact Hours and all needed info.

My merchant data feeds contain all the needed info as well.

I have looked into the issue but there is not much definitive answers on what the course would be to correct this with google. I would appreciate any help from the community. If any further info on the website is needed, please let me know, thank you in advance

a misrepresentation policy flag can be rather serious,
with little chance of reinstatement, or a simple fix,
depending on the details -- there is no such definitive

course of action, since each set of details is almost

always unique.

the length of time a merchant or shopping-ads have been active
have no impact on policy decisions -- google may flag a policy
issue at any time; google does not check all issues all the time.

the misrepresentation policy flag usually relates to how the business or
the products have been represented to the public, especially over time --
for example, missing clear or reasonable contact, refund, and return details;
for example, websites with redirects, overlays, additional ads or advertising;
for example, not a good track-record of ratings and reviews for the business --
especially not fully addressing negative reviews for the business or products;
for example, the same or similar inventory that have been sold, or is being
sold, on multiple websites or on other venues or marketplaces that also may
have submitted the same similar inventory as shopping-ads.

generally, the key to determining if a reinstatement is even possible,

is by studying the original violation email that was sent by google and
any follow-up email; then, asking google for examples of the violation,
before submitting any formal reinstatement request.

Please share your site URL, this is usually a site issue and often a trained eye can give you an idea.
