character limit for titles are below 150, right? However why Google informed me errors for long titles of items when there is only about 80 characters? What is more weird is that there are indeed many other merchants whose items titles are much longer than mine, why their products can show in searching results successfully with very good rankings. Who can explain this issue for me? Looking forward to your reply, Thanks so much!

Hi Lanzy

Although listed here - Title Specifications, the character limit is 150, it has always been a recommendation from Google to keep your titles at 70 characters or less.

Your items will not be removed for having longer than 70 characters, however, the message will be displayed until corrected or ignored.

It can be tricky to find a balance in titles within the character limits, however, it is best to hold only valid information, such as brand, model, colour and lose superfluous words, whilst maintaining a comprehensible and accurate title.

there are two different limits for most attributes with merchant-defined values:
(1) a hard-limit that if exceeded will result in items being removed or disapproved;
(2) a soft-limit that may help or harm items with respect to quality --

this is typically denoted as a recommendation under the quality-tab.

with respect to title, only 25-70 characters or so may be displayed
depending on the context -- however, all characters under 150 will
be indexed and used for search.

both limits should be taken into account when considering
what information about the physical item should be submitted.

One more question, many other items titles in the searching results are much longer than 70 characters, however which can still show and have a great ranking. How can this happen according to your reply? Why these items have not been removed as I do not think information included in the tiles are helpful.
