i am working on a new campaign and the bounce rate from the shopping feeds is 90%. i know it is high but i have two questions:

does anyone know the industry standard or a rough estimate for bounce rate in the ecommerce industry

are there any tips for lowering bounce rates in a shopping feed?

Tips :

Make sure your product titles describe the product correctly

The image is the same as on the landing page

The landing page is perfect

The landing page has no popups

Everything that is required is above the fold

These would be my tips

Hope it helps

I'm not sure about an "industry standard" for bounce rate, but mine hovers around 50%. To lower it, think about why a customer would want to leave your page after purposefully clicking your ad. Are the landing pages appealing, do you have enough product information, or is it easy to purchase your product and navigate your website?

You could also check the search terms report for your shopping campaign and add poor performing keywords as Negative KW to drive better traffic.

Hi @Zaby

I have experienced bounce rate for e-commerce brand between 45-60%.

There can be some factor leading to high bounce rate

-You can try analyzing the search query report

-Is your site mobile optimized? Check avg load time

A high bounce rate means that the product page they have landed on makes it clear that they don't want the product. Looking for a variation or alternative product doesn't occur.

The two main reasons for this are:

> product not meeting the expectations of the shopping listing

> navigation not encouraging looking elsewhere in the site

Make a product search, look at your competitor's offerings, visit their site and compare the experience with your site.

Also, compare the bounce rate with visitors from other sources.
