Page Redirect Test URL Matches or URL Contains

Hi

I'm using Optimize for a redirect test comparing two different pages with form completion goals.

The targeting is currently set to URL matches, i wondered if with all the URL tagging, it must be set to URL contains instead.

Will Optimize still match to a URL with tagging when set to URL matches?

Warm Regards

Not sure about what you mean with URL tagging. Are your referring to the redirect parameters added by the experiment?

The URL matches will ignore all parameters and hash fragment on the URL.

So it you have a rule: URL matches http://www.example.com/path/example.html

then a page like

http://www.example.com/path/example.html?param1

or

http://www.example.com/path/example.html?utm=XXXX

or

http://www.example.com/path/example.html?param1&utm=XXXX#ABC

will still match.
