Split Test Appends URLS with UTM tracking info[ Edited ]

I had a split URL test run a few weeks ago. Our marketing manager reported to me that the test was appending out the utm sources so that users coming from a campaign were no long tracked once they hit the test url.
I believe I can filter them out of the test by changing my URL targeting to "equals" instead of "matches". However, if I wanted to include them in the test is there a way I can do that without losing campaign source data?
