I started a test on all Pages. With with RegExpr something like http://example.com/.*/.*/
All tracked Stessions have the Homepage as URL (/) in Google Analytics. The site title are OK, they have the right meta-title from the Single Page. I want to have at test only for the Single Blog Posts without category or archive. The Url Structure is something like this: http://example.com/category/single-blog-post/
I think with startwith URL it is the same. Is this a bug? Is it my fail?

I ask while the Bounce Rate are increase.

English is not my mother tonque, i hope you can understand what i'm writing.

Best Regards from Germany

Hi

Try reversing the order of the lines:

ga('send', 'pageview', location.pathname);
ga('require', 'GTM-KRPFRNS');

to

ga('require', 'GTM-KRPFRNS');

ga('send', 'pageview', location.pathname);

I am not sure if you had noticed and used the "Check your rule" functionality, but from what I can see your rule (from your example) looks OK.

Have you tried to "preview" your variation (use the little icon next to each variation) to test how each variation works for your users?

Thank you for your response, Dimitris.

The Problem is in Analytics and so i think in the Bounce Rate of the test. Here is what i see, when i look in the realtime Report of Google Analytics:

 analytics.png

All testet URLs are root /, look at the Page-Title, they must be diffrent. So if there is no change in the url from one Page to another it increase the Bounce rate. Right? Or do i see it wrong? For me, at this time, it is not a big deal, but i think in the future, it can be.

Oh, i change the Analytic Code from:

ga('send', 'pageview');

to:

ga('send', 'pageview', location.pathname);
but it won't fix it.

Could that be because of some filters that you have setup in the Analytics view?

Could you provide your Optimize container ID (i.e. GTM-....) which is in the side panel of the experiments list page (and in the snippet)?

Thank you Dimitris.

There are two spam filters and this one: preview=true

ID is GTM-KRPFRNS

Google Analytics is TUZjucwrQoaQ1wxlpkExvg when you need it.

There are three test with the same issue. One Live and two archived.

They all start with "Amp Link"

Problem is fix in reversing order the lines.
Thank you :-)

In the second step i put the script right after the opening <head>. I think this is the proper way, the documentation say.

Cheers!
