Redirect Test: Can I point both pages on to the same URL?

I need to test a page with a sign-up form with a new page with the same form but a complete redesign.

For that reason, A/B testing isn't ideal and I would have to do the redirect test.

main page url is xxx.com/sign-up  --> 50%
second page is xxx.com/sign-up-2 . --> 50%

As I run the experiment, when I go to (the main page) xxx.com/sign-up, 50% of the times it stays on the page, the other 50% it redirects to (the second page) xxx.com/sign-up-2. This way I noticed that the url changes accordingly.

my question: Can I perform the exact same test but keep the url as the original page? xxx.com/free-trial
