A/B experiment not collecting conversion data in Optimize?[ Edited ]

Hello! I'm hoping someone has some guidance here. The answer seems pretty straightforward and it looks like I've set everything up correctly since session data is being shown. It just seems that there's something about the goals/conversions not registering?
Specifically, I've had an A/B test running for the last day to test 2 versions of a banner ad design across my entire community forum that links to a sales page. So far 2,621 visitors have come through but the experiment is showing no conversions: https://www.screencast.com/t/JuR2jEHNZ
Which might just mean that no one is clicking on the button (even though GA is showing me there's a 0.82% CTA on that button). And when I go into Analytics and look at the goal that I'm using for this specific test, it's showing that yesterday the goal was reached 44 times (granted there are a few other links that take visitors to this page, but this ad is the most prominent sitewide): https://www.screencast.com/t/cVl1K4gI9cR
So there should be *at least* one conversion on my Google Optimize account, but it's showing 0.
Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting here? Thanks so much!
A/B experiment not collecting conversion data in Optimize?
Ah, it looks to be because the goal page (the one being linked to from the A/B split tested buttons) is on a different domain from the experiment page, which Optimize doesn't allow: https://support.google.com/360suite/optimize/answer/6211938?hl=en
Is there any way around this that anyone knows of? Like, what if the button links to a page on the same domain but then that page is redirected to a page on the different domain? Would Optimize count that as the goal being reached on the same domain?
