Hi,

We are trying to get the real time notifications for mybusiness using google pub/sub. Iam not able to understand the significance of below update from google pub/sub?

1.

{
  "type": "GOOGLE_UPDATE",
  "locationName": "accounts/{accountId}/locations/{locationId}",
  "reviewName": null
}

We usually get below kind of updates which is straight forward

2.

{
  "type": "NEW_REVIEW",
  "locationName": "accounts/{accountId}/locations/{locationId}",
  "reviewName": "accounts/{accountId}/locations/{locationId}/reviews/{reviewId}"
}

Could someone please explain the significance of first type of notifications from google??

I believe the following:

"type": "GOOGLE_UPDATE"

Means that you'll be able to see the current listing info, which has been modified by Google, not an admin to the listing in question.

Google can push changes to listings without approval from owners/managers of a listing. Getting these notifications will allow you to monitor changes to your listings.

Hi @Vinod Reddy S,

The GOOGLE_UPDATE notification published when a location is updated by Google. Please note, there will be only one notification settings resource per-account.

You can override the Google updated version of the specified location by making further edits to the location with a PATCH API call via the Google My Business API. Please make sure the updated business information you provide is accurate.

Thanks,
