Are the 'name' parameters in mybusiness API unchanging?

The name fields used to look up accounts or locations seem like they are intended to operate in an ID-like fashion. However, one would assume the name can change, and therefore, that the reference to the Location or Account can change.

I have two questions in particular:

1. If we change an account name from Foo to Bar, will it only be accessible through /accounts/bar? Or can we access it through /accounts/foo

2. Is there any way to look up locations in my business API through a google Place ID?

Hi @Dermot H,

  1. As per the API documentation website, the name field of the Account object or Location object is a Google identifier, which is immutable.
  1. No, currently there is no way to look up locations in Google My Business API through a Google Places ID. We’ll announce new functionalities of the Google My Business API as they become available on both this board and the API documentation website.

Thanks,

Shalini
